Privacy policy
This website collects only what you give it: your email address when you join the waitlist, with the date, your country and the page you signed up from. We use it to send you one email when Leeway opens. No cookies, no ads, never sold. Write to privacy@joinleeway.app to have it deleted.
Who is responsible
joinleeway.app and its waitlist are run by Tanel Petelot, in France, the data controller under the GDPR. Contact: privacy@joinleeway.app.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the website and the waitlist. The Leeway app will come with its own privacy policy, covering your voice entries, before it opens.
What we collect
- When you join the waitlist: your email address, the date, your country and the page you signed up from, with basic details about your browser.
- When you visit: our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it. Our own visit statistics count pages, not people, and never store your IP address.
- No cookies, no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics.
Why we use it
- To send you one email when Leeway opens on iPhone. Nothing else.
- To keep the waitlist free of spam, and to see which pages bring people to Leeway.
Our legal basis is your consent for the waitlist, which you can withdraw at any time, and our legitimate interest in running the site securely for the rest.
Who processes it
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site and stores the waitlist. Your data may be processed in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We will name the service that sends the launch email here before it goes out. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Waitlist entries are kept until six months after Leeway opens on the App Store, then deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time. Our host keeps technical logs for a few days.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, get a copy of it, object to its use or withdraw your consent, by writing to privacy@joinleeway.app. We answer within one month. In the European Union, you can also complain to the CNIL or to your local data protection authority.
In the United States: we do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Children
This website is not meant for children under 13 (16 in the European Union). If a child has joined the waitlist, write to us and we will delete the entry.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date, and tell you first if it changes how we use your email address.
